PasswordAttendant will reach end of life on September 1, 2011. For some time we have wanted to improve PasswordAttendant and add a plethora of features, however time has not favored us in this endeavor. As PasswordAttendant is now a free application there has been no revenue stream to support its development and like everyone else we have responsibilities that required our focus and efforts.

A key factor in our decision also comes from the fact the there is a free open source tool that provides all the features plus some that we wanted to add to PasswordAttendant. We have been watching the progress and development of KeePass for some time. Version 1 appeared nice but it wasn't enough for us to abandon our plans. Version 2 was released and grabbed our attention straight away. With the recent release of 2.15 (version 2.16 is available now) we began testing to determine if we would migrate to KeePass.

The decision was made to migrate and we developed an export tool that allows you to export your data from PasswordAttendant into an XML file format that can then be used to import your data into KeePass. Get your copy of the export tool in our download area.
