User Management

The MRRS system includes a complete security module that allows you to manage the users of your system and to set the actions that they are allowed to perform within the MRRS system.  Each user has the ability to set their own password as often as they wish.  If they forget their password, the MRRS administrator can reset their password or reactivate their account.

The following screen shot displays all the users in a system, their login name and the date and time they last logged in to the MRRS system. 

Three icons are used to allow you to quickly ascertain the status and type of the user.  A standard permanent account is designated by a green icon of a person.  Temporary active accounts have a small clock attached in the lower right corner of the icon.  And finally, a red icon designates that the account has been inactivated - either due to the account expiring or because someone attempted to login to that account and incorrectly entered the password too many times. 

The next screen shot shows an individuals account.  Notice that this particular account is a temporary account and is set to expire on 6/1/2004.  As an added security feature, all passwords are masked with a single asterisk - hiding not only the password but also the length of the password.
