Move Records

As part of the tracking system, the Medical Record Retention System has a section that allows you to quickly move a container of records from one location to another.  When you move a container, all records within that container are updated to reflect the new location of the container. 

Once you have completed a purge and entered the purge information, you are ready to send the containers to a storage location.  When you navigate to the Move Records form you will be presented with a list of all the containers you currently have at your local facility.  Simply select all the containers you want to move and drag them to the storage location where they will be stored and drop them off.  The MRRS system does the rest. 

The Move Records entry form is shown below. 

If you need to transfer a container from one storage facility to another, you will use the same form, only this time you would select the storage location your are transferring from in the "Move from" field.  The list of containers will update to reflect the containers at that location.  Once the list is updated, transferring is as simple as dragging the containers to the new location.   The following screen shot shows that we are transferring some containers from "We Are Storage" back to our facility.
